I had the same problem, because for some stupid reason Sony needs to format the card if you switch from PAL to NTSC. I wished there was a program that could be so far there is not. Sony does a major format and just not a basic like Canon and others do. Hi don't bother! When you format an SD card in a Sony A7 series sorry to say the images can not be recovered. If I remember correctly you can download a free version that will do the scan and show what it found but not recover until you buy a license. I've recovered USB sticks that have gone bad. It cost, but gets the job done (sofar, haven't tried on A7RII memory cards). That software is designed for Sony memory cards only, won't work with any 3d party SDs.įriend of mine is having the same issue with her A7Rii, tried to help - used up to a dozen different recovery utilities including Photorec, but to no avail, only some filesystem junk.įor general purposes, I find EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard the best.
